Remote Trades Co Australia
A registered Western Australian building contractor delivering remote camp installations, warehouse & workshop builds, remote building projects and long-term maintenance — the further out, the better.
Who we are
Remote Trades Co Australia is a registered WA building contractor (BC106843) built for remote and regional project delivery. We currently service all of remote WA, building camps, warehouses and remote facilities and holding long-term maintenance contracts across some of the state’s most demanding locations.
As head-contract builder we take responsibility for the whole job — self-performing building works and managing a trusted network of subcontractors for civil, electrical, plumbing and specialist trades. Clients get one accountable builder, real systems and reporting, and delivery that stands up to remote conditions.

Medalia SteelAbout RTC
Remote Trades Co Australia is a registered Western Australian building contractor (BC106843) built to deliver in remote and regional Australia. We grew out of nearly two decades of hands-on construction across WA and the NT, and today build camps, sheds and remote facilities and hold long-term maintenance contracts for mining, resources, infrastructure and government clients.
As head-contract builder we self-perform building works and manage the trades around them — giving clients one accountable partner, real systems and delivery built for the conditions.
Behind the registration is a full delivery team — site leads, trade crews, and operations and mobilisation support — with a director who still gets on the tools.
Codey Hopper — DirectorLeadership
Codey brings close to 20 years of hands-on construction experience across WA and the NT. Starting as a carpentry apprentice at 16, he has worked up through quoting, procurement, logistics and site supervision on residential, commercial, industrial and remote infrastructure projects. In 2025 he established Remote Trades Co as a standalone business focused on regional and mine-site construction.
Codey leads with a practical, boots-on-the-ground approach — personally overseeing key phases to keep safety, quality and program on track.
RTC crew — modular install, Pilbara WAThe team
RTC is director-led and crew-delivered. The people on our sites are the people who priced the job, planned the swing and answer the phone — backed by an operations team keeping every job visible, costed and compliant.
Mental health
Remote work is tough. Long swings, big days and a long way from home take a toll on even the best crews — and nobody on an RTC site has to carry that on their own.
If you’re struggling, or you’re worried about a mate, the services below are free, confidential and run by people who know the industry. Reaching out is the strong move.

Work with us
RTC is growing, and we’re always looking for trades who suit remote work — people who turn up, sort problems on the spot and take pride in doing the job once, properly.
In return you get consistent remote and FIFO work across the Pilbara and Goldfields, proper systems behind you, gear that works, and a director-led team where your name is known — not a number in a labour pool.
On the road
RTC-branded vehicles, plant and site set-ups are on the ground across the Pilbara and Goldfields — mobilised, inducted and ready to work.
Where we work
Our primary service areas are the Pilbara and Goldfields, run from bases at Port Hedland (Wedgefield) and Herron. We have deep local knowledge, established partnerships and a track record of safe, reliable delivery in challenging environments.
Wherever the work is, we’re built to get there — including Australia’s remote Indian Ocean territories.

We’re WA-based and Pilbara-resident, with our northern base at Wedgefield, Port Hedland. RTC was named a Finalist in the 2025 Alcoa Peel Business Awards (Start-Up Business) — and we hire and buy locally wherever the job allows.
